New Leaf's Mission Statement:
'To provide an opportunity for men to take responsibility for their abusive behaviour and to effect social change so that the underlying power imbalances no longer exist. to provide support, and to mentor males to ensure real and long term change in their attitudes and behaviours towards females and perception of themselves.'
How New Leaf can help you:
All this can make us hard to live with. It can leave use feeling lonely, angry and confused. However, attitudes and behaviors can be changed through time and effort. It is hard to do alone. That is why it is helpful to have the support of other men who are working at changing themselves. It is important that you first accept responsibility for your actions and then seek the help needed to turn your life around.

Principles:
New Leaf is committed to a comprehensive program to men who abuse their partners, and is founded on the following principles:
  1. Commitment to the belief that male violence against women is fundamentally and issues of power and control.
  2. Commitment to provide safety to those directly affected by men with abusive behaviours.
  3. Commitment to provide safe and timely service directly to men with abusive behaviours.
  4. commitment to promote public understanding on the issues involved in family violence.
  5. Commitment to promote communication and cooperation between New Leaf and other organizations involved in family violence.
  6. Commitment to openness for the ongoing development of programs to address the issues of male violence against women.
Philosophy:
  • We believe that women have the right to determine their own lives and to live in abuse free relationships.
  • We believe that violence against women in intimate relationships arises from a systemic imbalance in power and control.
